"Smokey Bears Retreat" located in
is located only 10 minutes from
Gatlinburg,Pigeon Forge, and The
Great Smoky Mountains. If you are
anything like me, I always want to
know the details about where I will
be staying and somtimes the pictures
just don't show enough. I will try to
describe my cabin to you here.

Built in 1995, Smokey Bears Retreat is located on 1 1/2 acres on the side of beautiful Cove Mountain. It is considered secluded but there are other cabins nearby (at least they are not right on top of you like in a neighborhood). You make access to it from an all paved street and paved private driveway. The parking area at the top of the driveway can hold up to three cars.
The cabin has 14
00 sq. feet of living space all on a single level (there are 8 steps to walk up from the parking area to the top of the front porch, but then everything is on the same level). It has a very large (40'long X 8'wide) covered front porch/deck with a 6 person hot tub, charcoal bbq grill, and several rocking chairs. As you enter the cabin, you will be greeted by a large open living area containing a sleeper sofa and chair, a wood buring fireplace,one of three satellite TV's, a large fully equipped kitchen with a dining room table for six and an additional four bar stools with a large eat at kitchen counter. A large utility room contains an extra large capacity washer and dryer, ironing board and iron, and a large utility sink. The large master bedroom contains a lodge style wood king size bed, large mirrored dresser and nightstand, color TV with satellite and DVD player. The master bath has a double sink vanity, large jetted jacuzzi bath tub, a seperate shower, and obviously a toilet :) The second bedroom has a queen size wood bed with large mirrored dresser and nightstand, a color TV with satellite and DVD player. The second bathroom contains a single sink vanity, full size shower and toilet. This bathroom can be accessed from either the second bedroom or from the living room area. The cabin has central AC/heat.
Believe it or not, the most often thing I am always asked about is if this cabin is pet friendly? Well the answer is 100% yes!! I too am a dog lover and couldn't imagine going on a vacation with out the hound. Because of this, the property is totally fenced in for the safety of your pet or children. The fence is 4' high with a galvanized steel mesh with 4"x4" openings (also called field or hogwire fence) so a small pet could squeeze through it, so keep an eye on the little ones.
